Abbey Chamberlain
Photographic artist Abbey Chamberlain was a professional portraitist for 37 years with a studio in
North San Diego County, and has been a photographer all her life.
Abbey's passion for classic beauty led her to create photographs in the style of the Impressionists.
She is also an artist who uses Photoshop to create composite fantasies.
Abbey is an award-winning member of the Carlsbad Oceanside Art League and displays her work at the North Coastal Art Gallery in the Carlsbad Village Faire. She has a wall at The Off Track Gallery in Encinitas, showing exclusively her unique "Gilded Light" photographs which are gilded with gold leaf or silver leaf.
Abbey has judged photographic competitions, sharing her insight and experience with other professional photographers. Abbey teaches classes to other professional photographers on the art of photography, technique, and Photoshop, as well as personal coaching. Art Camp 4 Grown-ups is a 6 day artists' haven where you will find her teaching or leading workshops in the forest near Big Bear Lake. Visit artcamp4grownups.com for details on the immersive artists' retreat which is usually held every August.
An avid traveler, Abbey looks for "light" where-ever she goes.
She lives in Carlsbad, CA with her husband, twin boys, and a cat named Pewter.
