​Diane O’Connell has exhibited and won numerous awards in San Diego and Orange counties.
She has also been invited to paint and exhibit abroad in France and Czech Republic.

Artist Statement:
I consider it a blessing to communicate my passion of art onto canvas to share with others the beauty that exists in our lives.
I draw my inspiration from God’s creation in nature, especially flowers.  My paintings strive to capture all the beautiful colors I observe.  I am constantly evolving and experimenting in new techniques, which pushes me out of my comfort zone and makes me grow as an artist. I have enjoyed painting series of different subjects: waterlilies, flower markets, and recently swimming pools. 

 My work explores a variety of media, including oil painting, watercolor, drawing, collage, and photography, often referencing the beauty of nature and my appreciation of the awesome places in which I live and visit.
I enjoy painting on location, plein air, and also in my studio from photographs I take.
